Everything will be fine! However, only by working together.

The dynamic situation of the last months and years has been challenging for all of us. Many of our substantially important institutions have been pushed to their limits, sometimes even beyond. All of a sudden, quite big difficulties and issues popped up in many important areas of life. More so, in a way that we had not considered possible until recently.

It would be great

if individual unwillingness or inability would be to blame. For then they could be solved quickly. For example, we could replace the unwilling and help the incapable to become better.

Unfortunately, it is not that simple. (And it never was.)

Firstly because — apart from a few exceptions — motivated, committed and also capable people sit everywhere. And they know very well what they are doing.

And that to our great fortune! Just imagine, what would have happened if thera had been attitude of unwillingness and general stupidity — the noisy few are enough.

Secondly because the situation is too universal, too complex, and just too dynamic. Single, simple and local measures like the ones mentioned above are of no use.

Joint endeavors do not become good merely by

that everyone silently trusts in small circles of wise people who will decide the right things when the time’s right. Or trusting that everyone will somehow do the right thing at the right time. “Eventually, things will fall into place!”

Projects succeed by approaching them together in a coordinated manner and by addressing and using everyone’s strengths and motives in a focused way. And also by setting the framework and roles so that all this can unfold.

That is the very reason I wish us

that as many people as possible learn good lessons from the past months and that from now on we more and more work jointly on organizing ourselves differently, better, less obsessively, simply smarter in the important areas.

It’s safe to say, that the we will find ourselfs in the current uncertain and dynamic situation for a longer time. And certainly other unforeseen challenges await us.

It will be good if we adapt to them. Together.
